Vancouver Fashion Week returns April 23-28
Vancouver Fashion Week is back April 23 to the 28 for a six-day event featuring over 50 designers, solidifying its position as the second-largest fashion week in North America.
Taking place at the David Lam Hall, Vancouver Fashion Week will showcase a lineup of both homegrown Canadian talent and international designers from over 25 fashion capitals around the globe.
Kicking off the runway shows is designer Misaki Tanaka, born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, behind the brand Solit. Meanwhile, Vancouver-based designer Eduardo Ramos is expected to close the event on Sunday.
Other Canadian-based designers hitting the runway include Alex S. Yu, Amir Sam, Allison Dunne, and Maria Halfyard behind the Canadian raincoat brand, Mernini, among others.
“At Vancouver Fashion Week, diversity is our greatest strength. We bring together the most incredible design talent from across Canada and worldwide, presenting the most forward-thinking creative concepts to the industry,” said Jamal Abdourahman, the producer and founder behind Vancouver Fashion Week and Global Fashion Collective.
“Fashion is a truly global phenomenon, and it’s inspiring to see such a strong mix of designers all under one roof here in Vancouver.”
