Lucia Marcuzzo promoted to Managing Director Europe

As Levi’s prepares to open its new flagship store on the Champs-Elysées in Paris ahead of the Olympic Games, a new executive will be taking part in the inauguration at the end of April. Lucia Marcuzzo was promoted to General Manager for the whole of Europe in March.

For the past three years, she has overseen all the global denim giant’s operations in Northern Europe. Michelle Gass, who recently became the Group’s Chief Executive Officer, has put her in charge of all Levi Strauss & Co activities in Europe. The Group has also confirmed the departure of Canadian executive Diana Dimitian, who has headed up the Southern Europe region since the end of 2018.

The Italian executive has been working in the denim sector for over twenty years. A true retail specialist, Lucia Marcuzzo spent around ten years at Diesel, where she developed the shop network as head of retail before joining Levi’s and its Brussels offices at the turn of the 2010s. She initially worked as vice-president in charge of retail before taking charge of the Germany-Benelux region in 2016. Since then, her scope has grown steadily, first with the UK, then Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.

She is now at the head of an entity which, by 2023, will have achieved sales of over €1.5 billion with its flagship brand Levi’s.
