L’Oréal USA appoints Silvia Galfo as president of US luxe division
L’Oréal USA announced on Wednesday the appointment of Silvia Galfo as president of the L’Oréal luxe division in the United States.
Galfo will report to David Greenberg, CEO, L’Oréal USA and president, North America zone, and will join the management committee of L’Oréal USA, as well as the global luxe management committee.
Galfo previously served as the chief growth officer for the L’Oréal USA luxe division in the United States, where she defined the growth strategy of the division by channel, retailer, and category, as well as set the vision to reinvent the business model of luxe’s brand portfolio, according to a press release.
Prior to that, Galfo served as general manager of Armani Beauty in the U.S., where she set the vision and strategy to establish Armani Beauty as one of the fastest growing makeup brands in the luxe division, growing both sales and profitability.
For over two decades, Galfo has also held senior leadership roles in marketing and sales within the L’Oréal Groupe, at flagship brands including Lancôme and L’Oréal Paris. Outside the Parisian company, she has worked at brands such as Revlon and David Yurman.
“Silvia brings a long and impressive track record of success in all areas of the beauty business,” said Greenberg.
“She is a long-term L’Oréalian with a world view on beauty and luxury. I am confident that Silvia’s strong leadership and consumer orientation will continue to drive the Luxe brand portfolio to new heights in the United States.”
